Colorado Laws


One may not mutilate a rock in a state park.

Movie & TV Production Spotlight 
2010-2011: 15 key projects were filmed in the state, including 7 films and 8 TV series. Movies: A Modern Pride and Prejudice, Mind's Eye, The Origin, Pretty Obsession, Atlas Shrugged: Part I, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Stained Glass Windows. TV: Cool Tools, DIY Disaster House, DIY Dominator, Rescue Renovation, Food Network Challenge, HGTV Professional Grade, Secrets of Aspen and Unwrapped.
Production Incentive: 
Effective July 1, 2012, Colorado's new production incentive program includes a 20% cash rebate North Social Facebook apps for businesses. on qualifying in-state expenditures, provided 50% of the actors and crew are Colorado residents. Qualified local expenditures include ATL and BTL salaries as long as income taxes are paid in Colorado. A cap of $1 million applies for any single employee. Projects will be selected based on the merits set forth in their application and not on a "first come first served" basis. Approximately $4 million is available for 7/1/ 2012 - 6/30/ 2013. Additionally, a loan guarantee program is in place where the State may guarantee up to 20% of a production budget loan for feature films.
