New Mexico Laws

Idiots may not vote.
The Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary is banned 
in Carlsbad.
State officials ordered 400 words of "sexually explicit 
material" to be cut from Romeo and Juliet.
In Carrizozo - It's forbidden for a female to appear 
unshaven in public.
In Raton - It is illegal for a woman to rider horseback 
down a public street with a kimono on.
Las Cruces - You may not carry a lunchbox down 
Main Street.

Movie & TV Production Spotlight 
2010-2011: 44 key projects were filmed in the state, 
including 38 films and 6 TV series. Movies include: 
The Avengers, Gambit, Odd Thomas, As Cool As I Am, 
Dead Man’s Burden, The Last Stand, and Sweetwater. 

TV: Breaking Bad, In Plain Sight, Man vs. Cartoon, 
Scoundrels, The Witching Hour, and Maltin on Movies.
Production Incentive: 
New Mexico offers a 25% tax rebate on all direct 
production expenditures, including New Mexico crews, 
that are subject to taxation by the state. The rebate 
applies to feature films, independent films, television, 
regional and national commercials, documentaries, 
video games and post-production. Non-resident actors 
and stunt performers will also qualify under a 
separate tax structure.
